Have you ever found yourself stuck in a situation that no longer serves you and yet, somehow, you keep going back to it?
Maybe it’s a job that drains your energy, a relationship that feels more exhausting than uplifting, or a mindset that keeps you feeling small. The truth is, when you don’t change what’s not working, you’re actually making a choice to stay exactly where you are.
Yes, what you don’t change, you choose.
This isn’t about blame or guilt. It’s about empowerment and awareness. When you recognise that staying put is, in itself, a decision, you reclaim control over your life. Change might feel scary or uncomfortable, but it’s the only way to create space for something better.
Through client sessions, we often talk about the power of the subconscious mind, that deep part of you that drives your habits, beliefs, and emotions. Sometimes, the reason you don’t change is because your subconscious is holding you back, locked in old patterns that feel safe, even if they don’t feel good.
So, how do you break free?
It starts with awareness. Notice what you’re tolerating. What are the parts of your life where you feel stuck or frustrated? Then, ask yourself “Am I willing to do what it takes to change this?”
Change requires courage, commitment, and sometimes help.
That’s where therapy can help you with some powerful techniques. These techniques will help you reprogram your subconscious mind, shifting those limiting beliefs and opening the door to new possibilities. When your inner world changes, your outer world follows.
Remember, every moment you stay where you are is a choice and every choice leads to a new outcome. If you want different results, you have to choose to do something different.
So today, ask yourself: “What am I choosing by not changing? And what could I choose instead?”
You deserve a life that energises and fulfills you. The power to create that life is already inside you. It’s time to step into it.
Your new story starts with one brave choice.
