Why You Self Sabotage

Self-sabotage is when you consciously or unconsciously to prevent yourself from reaching your goals and this happens more often than you may realize.

Here are some reasons why this may happen-

Low Self Esteem- You don't believe in yourself. You will always act in accordance with what you tell yourself and if the message you tell yourself consistently is that you are not good enough, then you will not give yourself the opportunity to get what you desire. When you lack confidence, you will take steps to prevent yourselves from reaching your full potential.

Fear of Success- Fear of success is the fear that if you become successful, you won't be able to manage it and suffer as a result. Most of the time, you aren't even aware of your worry. You tend to concentrate on the goal and then worry about, how your lives will change if you do succeed.

Place Blame Elsewhere- You think you will fail no matter what and act in ways that guarantee your failure. You take no responsibility to reach your goals. When you fail, you shift the blame to someone else.

Being in control- You feel better when you feel you’re in charge. You feel more in control when you decide in advance that you won’t be able to accomplish something. This may be even though it is not what you want. You engage in self-destructive behavior and cognitive patterns and manage your failure so you can stay in control.

Fear of failure- This is by far the most common reason for self-sabotage. You are afraid that if you will give everything to get your goal, you will still be disappointed. It's simpler to make excuses for why you didn't achieve than it is to give it your best and still fail.

If you're having trouble working through self-sabotaging behavior, reach out to a Coach or a Hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy allows you to access, remove, and reprogram the beliefs that are holding you back from having what you want

Make yourself a priority and seek the assistance you require.

Do any of these reasons resonate with you? Let me know in the comments.
